* I wanted to start featuring  black people that live alternative lifestlyes. Usually I find these people on the internet. I want other afropunks to know there are other like us out there. These posts help us to not feel so alone as well as give inspiration.

Tamara is a Half black , Half Maroccan gilr that I randomly found on Myspace. She lives an Alternative lifestyle that I choose to describe as Cybergoth.  Her musicial taste are described as:   “ techno/trance/dnb/house/electronic music.”  She is currently 19 and lives in Maryland she also happens to be a proud feminist.

Tamara’s website Ipukeglamour.com launched is 2005. She has the most amazing hair and makeup I have ever seen and she has some pretty good tutorials on her website for hair and makeup. Also featured on here website is a showcase of her web and graphic design.  She also makes dreads and hairfalls that she sells on her website.She has been making hairpieces for about 5 years. She is inspired by” Japanese street fashion, cyber fashion, club kid fashion, high fashion (couture, Avant-garde) & raver fashion inspires me.”

living her alt lifestyle she gets a lot of compliments as well as rude stares and harsh comments. “yea, sometimes i get down in the dumps and just dont feel like being stared at.”
